The Importance of Submission and Love in Marriage

Submission by Wives:

Submission by Husbands:
- Husbands, in turn, are instructed to "love their wives as Christ loved the church" (v. 25). This love is sacrificial, selfless, and unwavering.
- It goes beyond mere affection and includes protecting, providing for, and cherishing the wife as one's own body.
The Analogy of Christ and the Church
Paul uses the relationship between Christ and the church as an analogy for the relationship between husbands and wives.
