What Does the Bible Say About Pride?
The Bible condemns pride as a serious sin. It is considered an offense against God because it exalts oneself above others and ultimately seeks to dethrone God. Pride leads to destruction, downfall, and condemnation.
Humility is the opposite of pride. It is a virtue that allows us to recognize our own limitations and weaknesses while valuing others above ourselves. God gives grace to the humble, while He opposes the proud.
We must guard against pride in our lives. We should not think too highly of ourselves or compare ourselves with others. Instead, we should value humility and seek to serve others.
